"April Showers BRings May Flowers Pts 1 & 2" - MENSA's La Ment April 2008 to May 2008 Covers

These are the final 2 covers I did for the Los Angeles Division of MENSA monthly publication called "The La Ment". Each month was to cover a social issue of some sort but not too overtly. For this 2-parter joke that started with the April 2008 cover and ended with the May 2008 issue, the topic of the changing real estate market in Los Angeles just before the bubble burst was addressed. It began with the old expression, "April Showers Bring May Flowers" and was combined with how nature constantly changes the landscape for which to capitalize on new real estate opportunities while also exploring he new found ideocracy and laziness I observed of society using smart phones for the first time.
