Continuing my series of doing caricatures / cartoon interpretations of well known film composers who specialize mostly in horror or became known mostly for their work in horror despite having composed for other movie genres. This one is of John Carpenter who is best known for (films he also composed the music for in addition to directing them such as) Halloween, The Fog, Christine, Escape From New York, Prince of Darkness, and They Live among many others.
The overall composition references his recently gaining new fame and acclaim through his live concert performances while giving everything that "B-Movie" Sci-Fi feel that Carpenter loves so much - hence the head inside a futuristic container and knives for fingers on a 360 synthesizer. Carpenter is performing for the aliens from They Live and powered by dark energy from the Prince of Darkness housed inside the container beneath him. Carpenter is known to be a heavy smoker so that is why there are multiple cigarettes around the top of his head casing.
